About the event

Meet at Swan Avenue entrance to the Kimberley Nature Park at 2pm.

Ladies green, green, light blue, dark blue, and black group options. See descriptions under "Tickets" below.

Après 5pm at Grist and Mash Brewery.


We are looking for a leader and a standby alternate leader for each group. Alternates will cover absences or be used to split groups when sizes are too large.

2025 Kootenay Freewheelers membership and KTS Trail Pass are required for all riders.

    Relaxed ride. Frequently rests. Primarily Green Trails. Mostly flat. Some climbs that aren't too steep. Easy Pace. Double track with some occasional single track. Length of Ride 5-10km

  • Intermediate (Light Blue)

    All Genders. Uses gears and breaks with confidence. Good Handling skills. Can do double track and single track. Comfortable with moderate climbs and descents. Bikes approximately once a week. Length of Ride 10-15 km.

  • Intermediate Plus (Dark Blue)

    All Genders. Uses gears with confidence. Good handling skills. Can do double and single track. Can do steeper sections but may get off and walk for technical features. Bikes 2-3 times/week. Working toward tackling more technical features. Length of Ride: 10-15km

  • Advanced (Black)

    All Genders. Comfortable with most types of riding & obstacles, switchbacks, sustained technical single track. Excellent Bike Handling Skills. Rides at least 3-5 times a week for at least an hour. Able to climb serious climbs as long as required and descend comfortably. Rarely getting off to walk sections. Length of Ride 10 km (+)
